ChatApp

Inspiration

This is my first hackathon , so I was bit confused with what to build . I always wanted to build a chat app but I didn't know how to build one . So i decided for this event I will learn and build a chat app with technology I am familiar with .

What it does

It is web application for texting

How I built it

I used Socket.io and nodejs to build it

Challenges I ran into

I am new to nodejs and had no idea about building a chat application. So I had to go through articles on internet to understand how to start

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I really happy that i created this project in less than a day

What I learned

I have learnt how to create node js projects and about socket.io

What's next for ChatApp

I wanted to build a chat application which is used for people who are emotionally stressed and need some one to talk to. ChatApp will further be developed to create a safe texting platform between medical professionals who would volunteer to talk to people who are going through tough times and help them.
