Chat Debator

Inspiration

We wanted to make something fun and engaging. We were captivated by the idea of an app that can generate a mock internet argument! We thought it would be fun to see how we can change the ways that our app would argue about certain topics, and we wanted to give our user freedom to choose the vibe of their debate.

What it does

A website where you can make two AI debate a topic. In the end, you choose which side wins and they respond accordingly.

How we built it

We built it using the Cursor AI Agent alongside Butterbase to help deploy it.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting our MCP was challenging in the beginning, but we were able to find the correct files and get the process running! We also struggle with actually deploying the app because our Cursor Agent created a new app we couldn't get access to, but we eventually figured it out so that our app could be accessed!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to be in the presence of other Vibe Coders and be able to learn the process of it as well as using our imagination to make something come to life. It was also really gratifying to understand what exactly was wrong with our code and make changes accordingly!

What we learned

We learned that it's important to have patience when coding, even when times are tough. We had to perservere to find what we needed to do and find ways to deploy our project.

What's next for Chat Debator

Improving our project to add more features is something we will work on next so that it can look better with more features that make it fun
