Inspiration

Our journey began with a stark reality check: while the global interactive storytelling market was projected to reach $5 billion by 2025, and China's AI short drama market had already hit $20 billion, millions of passionate storytellers remained locked out of this creative revolution. Traditional tools like Ren'Py demanded programming skills that most creators didn't have, while major platforms prioritized "platform sovereignty" over creator rights. We saw a fundamental disconnect between technological possibility and creative accessibility—and decided to bridge it. Our inspiration was simple yet profound: to democratize interactive storytelling, making it accessible to anyone with a story to tell, regardless of their technical background.

What it does

Chase Dream AI is an AI-native, vertically integrated platform for creating, running, and distributing interactive cinematic experiences and narrative games. It systematically dismantles the three major barriers to interactive content creation: Technical Complexity: Through a "conversation-as-creation" zero-code interface, creators can build complex branching narratives using intuitive visual maps Production Costs: Reduces weeks of traditional work to minutes, with comprehensive production costs typically between $5-$10 per interactive experience Distribution Limitations: Enables one-click publishing with full creator control over distribution and monetization paths The platform integrates AI story generation, visual asset creation, audio production, and quality diagnostics into a seamless workflow, while maintaining character visual consistency through our proprietary StyleGuide technology.

How we built it

We approached development with a layered architecture philosophy: Technical Architecture: Presentation Layer: AI-generated video/image content Interaction Layer: Player operations and branching logic Systems Layer: Deterministic logic ensuring narrative consistency Key Innovations: Visual Branch Canvas: Drag-and-drop interface transforming complex story structures into intuitive visual maps StyleGuide Engineering: Breakthrough solution maintaining character consistency across AI-generated scenes without expensive model fine-tuning Integrated Workflow: Seamlessly combines all creation elements in one platform Creator-First Economics: Transparent 70/30 revenue split favoring creators Development Philosophy: We adopted a "minimum viable magic" approach—prioritizing features that delivered maximum creative empowerment with minimal technical complexity.

Challenges we ran into

Technical Hurdles: Achieving consistent character appearance across AI-generated scenes was our most significant technical challenge. Traditional solutions requiring model fine-tuning for each character proved economically impractical for creators. Quality-Accessibility Balance: Early versions either overwhelmed users with complexity or produced inconsistent results. Finding the sweet spot between professional-grade output and zero-code simplicity required multiple iterations. Economic Model Design: Creating a sustainable pricing structure that served both individual creators and enterprise clients while covering AI compute costs presented complex economic challenges. Market Education: Convincing traditional creators to embrace AI-native workflows required demonstrating tangible value beyond technical novelty. System Integration: Ensuring seamless workflow between different AI models and creation tools while maintaining performance and reliability.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Technical Breakthrough: Our StyleGuide mechanism successfully solved the industry-wide challenge of character consistency in AI-generated content without requiring expensive model retraining Creator Empowerment: We've created a platform where creators retain full control over their work, from creation to distribution and monetization Economic Validation: Our hybrid pricing model—combining credit-based AI usage with tiered subscriptions—has proven both sustainable and scalable Workflow Innovation: Compressing weeks of traditional production work into minutes while maintaining professional quality standards Early Adoption: Successfully onboarded diverse creator segments, from individual storytellers to professional studios, validating our platform's broad applicability

What we learned

Through extensive research and development, we discovered several critical insights: Market Reality: 45 million digital creative professionals in China alone lacked suitable tools for AI-driven content creation AI Limitations: While AI excels at content generation, it struggles with emotional depth and character consistency—gaps that require human-guided solutions Creator Psychology: Technical simplicity must be balanced with creative control—creators value tools that empower rather than automate their vision Economic Dynamics: Sustainable AI platforms require transparent cost structures that align creator success with platform viability Evolutionary Approach: Platform development must be iterative, responding to both technological advances and creator feedback

What's next for chasing dream

Our roadmap evolves across three horizons: Short-term (1 year): Enhance core toolchain with improved AI video/voice generation Strengthen StyleGuide mechanisms and real-time structure diagnostics Establish comprehensive creator analytics dashboards Launch platform-integrated paid content library Medium-term (1-3 years): Build vibrant creator community with social features Implement ecosystem integration, tapping into 427 million short drama users Develop vertical-specific content templates for education and IP adaptation Expand enterprise solutions with API access and customization services Long-term (3+ years): Evolve toward dynamic narrative AI based on world models Support character memory and rule-driven narrative generation Transition from static content to explorable, evolving narrative "worlds" Establish Chase Dream AI as the foundational infrastructure for AI-era interactive content We remain committed to our founding vision: creating a future where technology amplifies human creativity rather than replacing it, and where every storyteller can share their vision with the world.
