Inspiration
My inspiration is how I wish there was a place with multiple types of local volunteer
What it does
Its a static multi page website that showcases different organizations that people can volunteer and donate to and it aligns with the UN sustainability goals.
How we built it
I used html and css to develop of website that can show case some of my favorite service outlook communities. I also used the frameworks such as flexbox and bootstrap to develop this website as well.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges I ran into were just creating a website that I thought would be appealing to users everywhere and styling can be tricking especially playing with padding and margins.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Im proud to have completed my first official hackathon even if my project is minimal it definitely has removed the pressure of participating in future hackathons.
What we learned
To become familiar with html and css and some of the frameworks associated with them. I had little to no experience prior to this so it really increased my familiarity with these topics so in the future I can hopefully utilize these to help the layout and design of more complicated websites.
What's next for Charlottesville Make an Impact
Hopefully to adding more volunteer opportunities and possibly make the website more visually apealling.
