Inspiration

In traditional charity fundraising, we often encounter certain concerning issues. One of the main issues is the lack of transparency and trustworthiness. For donors, there is no sure way to know exactly how the charitable funds have been utilized or whether they have reached the intended beneficiaries. This can lead to doubts and concerns about whether the charitable funds are being used effectively and for the intended purposes. Another issue in traditional charity fundraising is the high cost and time consumption. The fundraising process often involves multiple intermediaries and administrative procedures, from collecting cash to paperwork processing, fund management, and distribution. This not only incurs operating costs but also significantly delays the process and causes delays in delivering the funds to the recipients. Both of these issues can impact the trust and engagement of donors. However, with the development of blockchain technology and the implementation of smart contracts, we can overcome these limitations and create a charitable fundraising environment where people can trust and participate in a more transparent and efficient manner.

What it does

  • Wallet link: Quick support by not using 3rd party.
  • Register as a volunteer: If I don't have money, I will register to be a volunteer.
  • Extend deadline: If the goal is not enough, the creator can extend the time to reach the goal.
  • Create campaign: Only owner can create campaign.
  • Contributing: The Dapp provides a mechanism for efficient and secure disbursement of funds to the intended beneficiaries or charitable organizations. Smart contracts can automate the distribution process, ensuring that funds are allocated correctly and minimizing administrative overhead.
  • Campaign validation: Perform validation on whether to continue or stop the fundraising campaign.
  • Tokenization: The Dapp can tokenize donations by creating digital assets or tokens that represent the contribution. This allows for easy transfer, exchange, and tracking of donated funds within the Dapp ecosystem.
  • Updates the global news: the Dapp will collect and update news, events around the world. That will keep donors up to date with information and donation campaigns as soon as possible.
  • The special feature of CharityBlue: Reliability, each person after donating money will have the ability to vote whether the donation campaign is trustworthy or not, if the trust rate is greater than 50%, the creator can withdraw money from the charity fund, less than that, the charity amount will be returned to everyone after the campaign ends, this rate is calculated based on the total amount of people who trust the campaign on the total amount Donations, voting time will be during the campaign period.

How we built it:

TECHNOLOGIES USED: SOLIDITY, REACT, JAVASCRIPT, NEXT.JS, ETHERS.JS, TYPESCRIPT, SCSS, WEB3, TAILWIND CSS, HTML/CSS.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge we face is geographical distance, everyone in the team is in different locations, so the exchange, unification of ideas and implementation will be more difficult to do and must be done 100% online. Besides, we also have difficulty in improving the project so that transparency and security are improved. We also have to check and test the logic and code continuously to make sure everything is good.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are most proud that this will be a useful product for the community, bringing joy and happiness to those in need around the world, and at the same time it helps limit the lack of transparency in the charity fundraising process, reducing time and costs when implementing large-scale emergency campaigns.

What we learned

We have learned how to work as a team and cooperate with each other when doing online projects, improve our knowledge about Blockchain and related technologies, moreover we learn a lot through exchanging knowledge with other members and how to organize projects professionally.

What's next for CharityBlue

We hope that CharityBlue project will be shared with other Blockchain Developers around the world and be increasingly improved.
