Inspiration Founders bleed revenue to fraudulent chargebacks every day. Fighting them takes hours of manual legal drafting and compiling evidence, leading most to simply accept the loss and move on. We built ChargeGuard because protecting revenue shouldn't be a full-time job. We wanted to engineer an automated, relentless defense system that fights back.
What it does ChargeGuard is an enterprise-grade digital commerce risk management platform built to automate chargeback disputes.
The Risk Dashboard: Tracks active disputes, total recovered funds, and win rates through a highly scannable, real-time interface.
AI Dossier Generator: Instantly transforms raw transaction metadata (IP mismatches, failed CVCs, login history) into structured, bank-compliant legal response letters.
Multi-Turn AI Specialist: An interactive chat engine that allows users to command the AI to refine the legal tone, increase aggression, or inject specific evidence directly into the generated document in real-time.
How we built it We built this exclusively on the MeDo platform, prioritizing rapid execution and a premium user experience.
The Engine: We leveraged MeDo's native LLM capabilities, heavily engineering the system prompts so the AI acts as a ruthless corporate lawyer rather than a generic assistant.
The Interface: We vibe-coded a high-contrast, dark-mode dashboard using Tailwind CSS. We intentionally utilized stark slate backgrounds with aggressive neon green ("Recovered") and red ("Disputed") accents to drive emotional urgency and highlight actionable data.
The Architecture: We implemented a mock Stripe API data structure for the MVP to prioritize the immediate UX and AI value proposition, demonstrating exactly how the problem is solved without getting bogged down in backend webhook configuration.
Challenges we ran into Ensuring the AI generated legally sound, professional responses required deep prompt engineering and strict constraints. Generative engines tend to be overly polite; we had to force the model to adopt a firm, authoritative tone suitable for bank processors. Additionally, managing the state of the document dynamically as the user interacted with the chat specialist required precise state management.
Accomplishments that we're proud of We are incredibly proud of the "Hero Mechanic"—our interactive AI Specialist Chat. Instead of just generating a static template, the user can type a command like "Make the tone more aggressive and emphasize that they logged in 5 times," and watch the legal document rewrite itself instantly. It transforms a static tool into an active legal partner.
What we learned We mastered the execution of constrained, role-playing system prompts and rapid UI problem-solving to achieve an enterprise-grade aesthetic in record time. We also learned how to effectively structure complex transaction metadata into a format that an LLM can easily digest and utilize for legal argumentation.
What's next for ChargeGuard The immediate next steps are live Stripe webhook integration, automated evidence gathering directly from platforms like Shopify and WooCommerce, and building a cross-account shared database to recognize repeat fraud offenders across different merchants.
