Inspiration
We wanted to take the most familiar game in the world—Tic Tac Toe—and completely break expectations by adding chaos, unpredictability, and humor to make it feel fresh, fun, and replayable.
What it does
Chaos Tic Tac Toe is a twist on the classic game where two players (or a player vs AI) try to get three in a row, while random chaos events constantly affect the board—tiles can move, disappear, freeze, rotate, or explode, changing the outcome in unexpected ways.
How we built it
Designed and developed by MeDo
Challenges we ran into
Balancing fairness with randomness was the biggest challenge. Too much chaos made the game unplayable, while too little made it feel like a normal Tic Tac Toe game. We also had to carefully manage state changes when tiles moved or disappeared.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully transformed a simple classic game into a highly dynamic and entertaining experience that feels fresh every time you play. The chaos system creates unexpected and funny moments that make the game highly shareable.
What we learned
We learned how small gameplay changes can completely redefine a well-known concept. We also improved our understanding of event systems, game state management, and designing for fun rather than complexity.
What's next for Chaos Tic Tac Toe
We plan to add multiplayer online mode, new chaos event types, different board sizes, themed skins, and a ranked system to make the game more competitive and replayable.
