Inspiration

I noticed how routines can sometimes create more mental ruts that limit creativity and innovation. Also when a routine is thrown off it disrupts and entire person perspective and they are sometimes unable to adjust in timely manners. For example, when traveling things could go wrong, one can arrive to their location late, forget their passports, or even as simple as waking up late to begin with. Chaos Theory provides small doses changes that can provide growth, creativity and alternative approach's.

What it does

Chaos Theory introduces controlled chaos into your daily life:

  • Personalized daily, weekly, and monthly challenges

    • Chaos Profiles tailored to risk tolerance and preferences
  • Progress tracking with streaks, growth insights, and reflections

  • A sleek, futuristic UI that makes “disruption” feel exciting, not overwhelming

It’s not about breaking you down — it’s about shaking you up just enough to grow.

How we built it

I built it using using Nextjs w/Typescript for frontend, Tailwindcss for styling, Framer motion for animations, Reach hooks w/context API along with Kiro

Challenges we ran into

  • Balancing chaos and structure: making sure challenges felt disruptive without being overwhelming

  • Designing a UI that embodies “chaos” while staying modern, clean, and accessible

  • Creating meaningful challenge generation logic that adapts to different user personalities

  • Managing animations and floating elements without hurting performance on mobile
