My Twitch Channel Point Project
Inspiration
- The inspiration for this project came from trying to add more interaction to a 24/7 stream of my reef tank. At first I had channel point redemptions for interaction. However I found that users would not look through the whole menu and keep asking the same questions. I then adopted a chat trigger type of system. After this had been implemented I found some users on mobile did not know how to see or access the stream panels where this information was. It was upon learning this and learning about the new api that I decided to make a menu system for the rewards.
What it does
- It takes away my multiple channel interactions and organizes them in a way that is easy to access and not be overwhelmed. I separated my interactions into categories and populate / depopulate lists based on user interaction.
How I built it
- I built it using the tools provided via lioranboard and added in programing based off of redemption triggers.
Challenges I ran into
- I had to learn how the api is accessed and how it was programmed in lioranboard. Some of the challenges I face now are multiple users tied into the same menu. It would be cool if I could offer a user their own menu.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
- I'm proud that this project works as intended, it's fast, it's intuitive.
What I learned
- How to lioranboard and make my stream more interactive.
What's next for Channel Points Menu System
- The next thing is to add in more effects and control, I would like to add in color control for the users to play with colors, brightness, sharpness, and filters.
Built With
