What ChangeProof does
ChangeProof audits whether an exported network-change evidence folder contains the required records for each device, with traceable sources and explicit uncertainty. It targets network engineers reconciling backups, rollback instructions, and validation records scattered across files.
Workflow
Confirm authorized scope, devices, change identifier, time window, and criteria; inventory files; inspect matching evidence; obtain hashes; flag gaps; preview a redacted report; save only with approval and verified output evidence. The result is a per-device matrix of present, missing, ambiguous, conflicting, or unknown records. Originals remain read-only.
Technical approach
The parent delegates bounded tasks to file-agent, document-agent, and knowledge-agent using the official UGREEN capability mapping. Planned capabilities include ug-filesystem discovery, metadata, bounded reading and SHA-256 fingerprints; ug-document qa for comparisons; and ug-knowledge save-text for an approved report. No SSH, live network changes, scripts or scheduling are part of the workflow.
Current status and lessons
This Round 1 pre-test skill was newly developed for the hackathon using the official UGREEN Skill Developer Package and conversational authoring instructions. The official static checker passed with zero errors and warnings. NAS installation, runtime behavior, supported formats and local-model suitability remain untested. A key design challenge is distinguishing evidence completeness from network safety: hashes are fingerprints without a trusted baseline, and files do not prove restorability.
Next steps
If selected, test complete synthetic records, missing or mismatched evidence, and unreadable or truncated files on the assigned NAS. Verify permission boundaries, source coverage, expert handoffs and approved report saves.
AI assistance and disclosure
ChatGPT generated and revised the draft instructions, capability mapping, tests and proposal. The entrant approved ChangeProof for submission. The attached PDF is the reviewed preparation-stage draft; its pending-review wording records its status when prepared. No NAS runtime success is claimed. No third-party code or libraries are bundled; UGREEN platform capabilities retain their applicable terms.
