Inspiration

We want to help homeless people improve circumstances through a holistic cross agency approach focusing initially on homeless addicts and addressing other homeless issues (e.g. education) in the future.

What it does

Create a network where agencies can submit a rating on different health, accommodation and nutrition attributes of a client everytime a client engages.

How I built it

Challenges I ran into

Homeless people for various reasons cannot or don't want to reveal their identity. We needed to come up with a way to create a unique identity that did not use credentials used normally, so as to remove obstacles to care. A pseudo identity, such as street name will be utilized with the option based on further user research, of using other methods such as biometrics.

Little co-ordination between agencies, causes duplication of services and people falling through the cracks.

We finished the data model with innovative business logic to solve the problem

What's next for Change4Good

We will apply Machine Learning and Statistics to solve the problem of duplicating identities in multiple locations. Provide transparency across agencies, improving effectiveness, and allowing funders such as governments to measure KPI's of agencies.
