In today's world, many people want to make a positive impact and address global challenges. However, they often face obstacles that prevent them from taking action independently. These challenges include financial constraints, limited support, project complexities, and a sense of powerlessness. Our platform is designed to give individuals a voice, allowing them to express their concerns and ideas, and ultimately, turn their aspirations into reality.

What it does

Change.near serves as a distinguished platform dedicated to empowering both individuals and groups to instigate, endorse, and advocate for petitions aligned with diverse causes, each with the overarching objective of effecting positive global impact. Our commitment to this mission is underscored by the utilization of the NEAR blockchain, a cutting-edge technology that enhances user experience, ensuring heightened security, trust, transparency, and data validity. In addition to leveraging blockchain technology, we extend an invitation to users to elevate their engagement through DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) membership. This esteemed status affords members privileged access to comprehensive DAO data resources, further enriching their involvement in our dynamic and transformative community.

How we built it

We begin by carefully planning our goals and objectives. During the development of our website, we prioritize optimizing both the User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI), aiming for maximum user-friendliness. Extensive testing follows to identify and rectify any flaws, ensuring that our final product achieves the highest level of perfection. Once development is complete, we launch the website within our community, actively seeking and valuing feedback for continuous improvement.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Utilizing NEAR BOS, we take pride in announcing the complete absence of gas fees when submitting proposals. Users can propose projects without incurring any costs, and participation in campaign voting is entirely free. Our commitment to equality is manifested in a one-person, one-vote principle, ensuring an equitable voting process for all. We are dedicated to ensuring our platform's accessibility to everyone. Furthermore, we are delighted to announce our achievement in securing a position among the top 5 participants in this event.

What we learned

As the founders of Change.near, the experience of developing on Near BOS has been highly enlightening. This cutting-edge platform brings a fresh and transparent perspective to the table. Our team has gained valuable insights into the intricate design of Near BOS components. Notably, we've discovered that achieving zero gas fees is not only possible but also quite impressive within the Near BOS blockchain framework.

We are dedicated to ensuring global accessibility for our platform, emphasizing our commitment to establishing a multi-language interface to bolster inclusivity and broaden user access. In addition, we are strategically implementing a clear categorization system for issues to streamline user navigation.
