Change in the Ocean

Inspiration

I remember going to LA for the summer when I was young. A local there was telling me about the ocean. More specifically, he was telling me of what is happening all over the world. I remember fainting a little as the things he told me really scared me. I wanted to create this website and raise awareness for what is happening in the ocean currently.

What it does

There is three pages on the website. One allows you to see the facts(of what is happening),second allows you to see the actions you can take and there are iframes that will assist you if you choose to donate. The last page allows you to see a timer. This timer allows you to see the end of seafood.

How we built it

I built it through HTML, CSS and JS.

Challenges we ran into

Structural look and the aesthetics.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The actions page, as I feel it allows people to actually do something. Rather than just read about it.

What we learned

I learned a lot about JS. As for the time I had to use JS. It was my first time using it but it was a lot of fun and a learning experience.

What's next for Change in the Ocean

I want to put a game within the website itself. That allows for young kids to play and be interactive in helping the oceans.
