ChallengePost: Find Friends

How it works

• Grabs a list of friends and people you follow from Facebook and GitHub
• Allows you to follow them on ChallengePost from the same page, or check out their profiles more in-depth

Challenges I ran into

• Rate limiting from APIs
• Invalid OAuth tokens
• The subtle differences between friends and followers

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

• Not making a complete mess of the code base in the process

What I learned

• How to use the Facebook and GitHub APIs using a couple of really good Ruby Gems
• Lots of stuff related to caching
