Inspiration
WorldID: 1556512185544953
We were inspired by the latest mobile-focused innovations in Meta Horizon Worlds to build a game that’s fast-paced, addictive, and as fun to watch as it is to play. We were also inspired by a visit to one of the world's tallest buildings: Lotte World Tower in Seoul, South Korea. Tap Tower Rush features intuitive tap-to-move mechanics and uses World Broadcast so spectators can catch all the nonstop action.
What it does: gameplay and design
From the moment you hit Start in this one-player vertical gauntlet, you never stop running. You race back and forth through an endless skyscraper, tapping to jump from floor to floor and changing direction only when you touch a wall. But watch out for gaps in those walls! One wrong move sends you tumbling into the fluffy clouds below – before starting again from the ground floor. Each new level introduces fresh designs and new challenges as you climb as high as you can!
How we built it
We collaborated closely at every stage, from concept to design to gameplay. Using the Worlds Desktop Editor, Blender, and graphics and SFX/VFX tools, we brought Tap Tower Rush to life.
Challenges we ran into
It took extensive design iteration and script debugging to ensure a polished gameplay experience.
Accomplishments we’re proud of
We were thrilled to implement World Broadcast, using dynamic camera angles and a fun Custom UI that helps spectators track the player’s progress throughout each game session.
What we learned
Tap Tower Rush taught us that even a simple concept can become an exhilarating, fast-paced, intuitive experience when we harness the capabilities of the Worlds Desktop Editor.
What’s next for Tap Tower Rush
We’d love to expand the world with new levels and designs, rewards, effects, and custom clothing.
