Inspiration
As Naruto and conscious self-improvement fans, we set out to create something that assists users in strengthening focus, wellness, and motivation β but with a twist of fun and excitement. Rather than a typical productivity app, we envisioned a ninja-themed dojo where users practice their Mind, Body, and Heart to unleash their complete Chakra Power. The outcome: ChakraCharge β a themed wellness platform based on the path to becoming a Hokage.
What It Does
ChakraCharge is an online application that allows you to select your daily concentration on three zones: Mind: A personalized focus timer to keep you distraction-free. Body: A BMI indicator to check your physical well-being. Heart: A motivation hub with mood entry and motivational quotes. After users finish all three, a Chakra Ring image is displayed, revealing their energy balance. The app incorporates ninja-style UI, audio feedback, and interactive narrative β all under the direction of a virtual Sensei.
How We Built It
Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, typescript Framework:vite, node Theme Design: Custom dojo UI with chakra-inspired animations and audio
Workflow:
The app begins with the question, "What do you want to train today?" Users finish tasks in any order. Chakra levels refresh visually and aurally. Last reveal feasts the user on their progress with a glow effect and message from the Sensei.
Challenges We Faced
Developing a ninja-themed UX that was enjoyable but also substantial Balancing design look with performance and responsivity Ensuring tasks were modular, yet integrated Creating Chakra animations that reacted in real-time to progress Composing original motivational text that wasn't generic
Achievements That We're We're Fond Of
Successfully combined wellness tracking with engaging gamification Built a whole Chakra system from the ground up with frontend only tools Designed a one-of-a-kind themed UI inspired by Naruto, with animations and sound Built something that would actually assist people in enhancing everyday habits for good in an entertaining manner
What We Learned
