Inspiration
Once I had a friend named Raveen from my hometown, he got his job in Chicago and left the city for his job prospects. Constitutional voting date has been announced by the Electoral commission of India, Raveen has to travel back to his native place from Chicago to cast the vote. So, I thought of this hectic scenario as my inspiration to make him vote from his residing place itself.
What it does
First verification of the candidate is done using Aadhar card which is the approved verification identity in India. If the aadhar database is matched with the corresponding candidate's face/biometric is recognized as same, then the candidate is allowed to cast the vote if the person is residing out of India. Based on the address available in the aadhar card, the vote can be casted for their respective constituent by the candidates
How we built it
A Front end is developed Web Page design Web3., For developing block the Consensus Mechanism used Proof of Stake., Database Oracle DB., Ethereum Ethereum Js used as transaction to count it. Using Aadhar we give only 1 vote per person who are eligible to vote.
Challenges we ran into
How to link the transaction ?, Getting the database from the government., Verification of biometric.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Decentralized application to cast the vote from different countries. Easy and faster access and the counting of vote will faster.
What we learned
Blockchain Technology DApps Web3 DB link with webpage.
What's next for Chain of Votes
Deploy it as an official application to the government to make it in real time application.
