Inspiration

"STRESS" is what everybody goes through. Indeed, long-term stress causes several mental illnesses, the most serious of which are anxiety and depression. Consultation with therapists is one technique to deal with this. We felt better after talking about our difficulties with others. Also, there are actual studies claim that positive venting help people to cope with stress. In addition, many people select religious traditions to alleviate stress especially for Thai elders. Even though consultation based on religious beliefs is prevalent, we rarely see it on online platforms. As a result, we attempt to create a website where people can vent and consult with priests based on what doctrine they believe in, strangers who share common issues, psychologists, and their friends. Additionally, learning in zoom where everyone closes the camera appears lifeless. By applying this concept, we intend to have “characters” that represent the speakers well. Characters with non-fungible tokens (NFTs) were chosen. Trading characters can be a wonderful way for gamers to make money because it can be stored on the blockchain. As a result, having a platform where people can consult and exchange their unique characteristics will encourage a harmonious society which is understandable for all ages.

What it does

Venty is a place where people can anonymously release their stress with strangers, consult with psychologists, learn from priests grouped in many doctrines, chat with friends using NFT characters to represent themselves, have fun, and even trade for profits.

How we built it

The first phase is to create characters in the NFT platform, where people can purchase and sell their characters based on their preferences or even the problem they are suffering. To avoid delays, Venty software uses Microsoft and our own servers. Objective-C, C++, C#, Java, .NET, HTML5/CSS3, and JavaScript are intended to be utilized to develop Venty'system on Android and iOS. Furthermore, Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) is applied for smooth communication. In terms of labor, the artist who designs NFT characters will receive a 30% commission, while therapists and priests are paid hourly.

Challenges we ran into

Firstly, we are concerned about people who use harsh words or excessive accusations with other people in the meeting. We think that this cause can make the worse situation. Other people will feel bad or have more stress. Therefore, we may be let everyone who attends the online meeting can use the report option when someone behaves badly. Secondly, we are concerned about the number of people who attend the Venty because if there are a greater number of these people, a group of artists has to draw a lot of NFT game characters to differentiate among our users.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

After we create this platform, we make sure that this platform is one of the ways to solve stress problems for anyone, and we guarantee that users can directly online consult with psychologists and priests to have good mental health in the meeting, faster than consulting with them in onsite because of wasting time for reservation and transportation to the hospital. People who are our users will have good quality for their being and relationship in real life. They can have a nice talk or do activities with their friends and family. Furthermore, we are proud of our platform that can make users have good mental health by selling their NFT game character in the market or doing the auction for other customers. So, they can get more money from this auction to use for any purposes which they want after they don’t have stress, anymore.

What we learned

When our users join and consult, together, we can learn about the causes and effects of the stress problem which be found in anyone. Moreover, Psychologists and priests can be aware of these causes and the effect of the stress which can affect their being in real life. In a similar case, one user can understand the perspective of another user. They can exchange knowledge and experience which they have found before.

What's next for Venty

In the future, we would like to upgrade the ability of psychologists and priests. We can upgrade or include a new character. Also, we can add an auction option to attract customers and users can join the auction for happiness. In addition, we would like to make a similar society, like Venty. But we change our target audience from people who have stress problems in their life to people who want to make a friendship with others. We can let users decorate their NFT game characters by themselves. This character will use to show your personality and characteristics. That makes other people maybe need to get along with you. Finally, they can use this character for selling in the market or doing the auction, also.
