Watson Twitter Analyzer

Watson Twitter Analyzer is a webapp that leverages the IBM Watson Personality Insights API to analyze America's attitude on a particular Twitter hashtag.

Watson Twitter Analyzer takes a hashtag, and produces a map of the United States, color-coded by the mood of tweets from each state.

Created by

I wrote the map generating code and server routing, and designed the front end of the website. It was nice to get more practice in Node and jQuery, and I learned about basic mapping with Kartograph.

Private user
I helped work on the backend part of our project. Specifically interacting with Twitter's API, I helped with the grabbing tweets and relevant information. I furthered my understanding of JS and how to interact effectively with APIs.

Ian Galbraith
I helped worked on geolocation data and text data through the Twitter api. Overall I developed a better understanding of Node and how to use APIs.

Andrew Kurniawan
I wrote parts of the Twitter search and tweet parsing code, and assembled geolocation data for the 50 states.
