🚀 Inspiration

We often complete online courses, attend events, or achieve personal milestones—but when it's time to prove it, the process is frustrating.
Screenshots can be faked, certificates get buried in inboxes, and digital proof lacks credibility.

We wanted a tool that made sharing verified proof as easy as snapping a photo—and that’s how CertiSnap was born.

🔧 How We Built It

CertiSnap is a mobile-first web app built during the Bolt Proof-of-Concept Hackathon using:

• ⚡️ Bolt for rapid backend orchestration and flows
  
• 🛠 Supabase for authentication, data storage, and real-time features
  
• 📱 Figma for UI design and mockups
  
• 🧾 QR Codes & Sharable Links to verify proof with a tap
  
• ⛓ Optional: Blockchain timestamping integration for future-proofing verification
  

Users can:

• Create a new digital proof (event, certificate, moment)
  
• Upload supporting evidence (images, docs, screenshots)
  
• Add metadata like tags, source, date, and location
  
• Instantly receive a shareable QR code + public link to showcase their proof
  

💡 What We Learned

• How to use Bolt to quickly spin up backend logic without complex boilerplate
  
• Effective use of Supabase for real-time data syncing and authentication
  
• The importance of UX when dealing with sensitive or personal “proof” data
  
• Balancing privacy vs. verifiability in public-facing proof systems
  

🧩 Challenges We Faced

• Designing a trust layer without making the experience feel too technical
  
• Handling file uploads and ensuring metadata is consistent across platforms
  
• Creating a simple yet powerful UI that works well on both mobile and desktop
  
• Keeping the project scoped and shippable within the hackathon timeline
