Inspiration
• The inspiration for this project came upon mainly to resolve manual work of verifying marksheets and to check the genuinity of the marksheets provided by the institution .
What it does
• The purpose of this project is to reduce the time taken for the certificate verification process. • To keep the records safely in the Block Chain without any third-party involvement in a decentralized environment safely.
How we built it
• We built this using XDC and solidity. • The Certificates are stored and retrieved using IPFS.
Challenges we ran into
• The challenges we ran into were to minimize the transaction fees per transaction and gas fees . • Keeping up with the current technology & updates which supports the solidity and other blockchain works.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
• We were able to store & retrieve the data(certificate) and hash from the blockchain. • It helps many Institutions, Companies to reduce Cost and Time.
What we learned
• It cannot be altered. • Impossible to hack. • Transparency, Security Immutability and flexibility of the blockchain network. • Counterparty risk removal(No Alteration), • Trust minimized agreement – Unbreakable promises • Speed Transaction.
What's next for Certificate Verification
• We are planning to implement the Certification Verification mechanism using blockchain concept in our college and in a large scale market. • We are also going to implement this by creating an app by which a large amount of people can benefit with just a click of a button .
