Cerebro

Inspiration

In the X-men mythology, Cerebro (Spanish for "brain") is a machine used by Professor X to amplify his telepathic ability in order to observe all the mutants and humans throughout the world. In turn, Cerebro can also be used to locate any individual as well. It is located at the X-Mansion in the sub basement.

Coders are kinda like mutants in the x-men mythology in that they are unique snowflakes - everyone is different and many are special. The difference between great developer and an average one is a lot, a fact that anyone who’s ever worked with a truly great developer knows! The key behind onboarding these “truly great” developers is… well… finding them first.

Just as Professor Xavier recruited a team of superheros to fight the good fight, so will the Ethereum community recruit a team of superheros to fight for Open Finance. Cerebro will be Gitcoin’s matching system. Cerebro will help us do it.

What it does

Cerebro is a machine learning based tool that helps Funders and Coders on Gitcoin find each other

How I built it

I used Gitcoin's userbase of 25k users + their activity patterns, to train the neural network.

What's next for Cerebro

Cerebro will be integrated elsewhere into the Gitcoin UI so that people can easily browse their matches + related profiles... Thus improving the UX on Gitcoin.
