Inspiration

Hard working medical professionals on the front line in the fight against COVID-19

What it does

Allows medical professionals to easily exchange information with their peers about the best approaches to treating COVID-19, particularly for patients with complex pre-existing conditions

How I built it

A team effort! Medical practitioners driving the content, technologists and engineers developing the back-end database and front-end interface, and strategists and communications experts leading the positioning and framing.

Challenges I ran into

Adapting our product and pitch as the guidance about the required format was further articulated over the weekend.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Building such a strong team in such a short period of time, without even meeting each other face-to-face.

What I learned

Virtual teams can work together brilliantly – although we miss the face-to-face contact. Clear and open communication – and having some fun - is key.

What's next for CEPAT - Treatment Comparison

Improving the interface and adding some form of analysis to the platform. Rolling it out to doctors across Switzerland and beyond. More informed decision-making and better care for patients.

I worked on the front-end part. I created whole web application using angular,bootstrap and firebase. Also I managed to host this application.

I integrated rest apis for login,registration,submit data and retrieve etc.

Also HTML design I managed to implement.

I learned a good team collabaration from this project.

Vijay Rathod
acted as product manager (prd, vision, strategy, user stories etc ) and designed the product, did the UI/UX ( using mainly Figma ), brought in needed expertise to build the beta product in 48hrs ( eg bringing Vijay on board), spotting the capabilities of the team members and preventing team members from abandoning the team. helped with the Front-end coding (bringing figma designs alive on to the frontend).

Provided second opinion of current direction of the project and submitted clinical trial cases

I created the back end: A database holding patient entries. It exposed an API to return statistical analyses of all patients matching certain search parameters.

I worked on the product requirements document, specifically the background./context and goals. I worked on wireframe mockups using Mockingbird web application. I worked on the content for the pitch deck and contributed to the slides for the final deck.

It was a nice teamwork. Everyone did their task with hard work and accomplished challenge in time. I learned how to work collaboratively (specifically remote working) while implementing this challenge.
