Centralised Digital Covid Passport system

Inspiration

The main inspiration behind this project was to remove the manual/technical difficulties which arrive with QR codes and we wanted to develop a system which would ease the process of checking whether a person is vaccinated or not using sensors

What it does

The system basically is an application which would help venues check whether users are vaccinated or not.The application runs on the phone of the phone of the user and when the user goes through the barrier it would help determine the store authorities whether a user is vaccinated or not.

How we built it

Using the Java programming. We used JavaFX and SceneBuilder to create the GUI.

Challenges we ran into\

We must have used a higher level language like Python. Due to coming to this conclusion late, our implementation part has not been complete.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The fact that we may have came up with an idea that could potentially drive the QR code out of the market permanently.

What we learned

We learned about the importance of using higher level languages for rapid development and problem solving as they are usually easier and quicker to use in order to accomplish the objectives at hand when the time is tight.
