Inspiration

We were inspired to create Central Campus Convenience after noticing the inefficiencies in obtaining minor items like snacks, hygiene products, and certain school supplies on campus. The idea for Central Campus Convenience was born out of a desire to foster a more sustainable and inclusive campus community by providing convenient access to resources for all students.

What it does

Central Campus Convenience is a mobile app and delivery service that simplifies access to snacks, hygiene products, and school supplies. Leveraging student donors, the campus food pantry, and a robot car delivery system, it ensures swift delivery to dorms, promoting convenience and sustainability.

How we built it

The development of Central Campus Convenience involved a collaborative effort among our team members with diverse skill sets. We began by brainstorming ideas and sketching out the user interface and functionality of the mobile app. From there, we prototyped the robot car delivery system using off-the-shelf components and Arduino microcontrollers.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges we faced was the limited timeframe of the hackathon, which constrained our ability to actually develop the app and the addition of Bluetooth and gps capabilities robot car delivery system.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite the challenges, we successfully developed a prototype of the robot car delivery system within the 24-hour timeframe, showcasing its potential to enhance campus convenience and sustainability.

What we learned

The hackathon experience taught us valuable lessons about project management, time management, and collaboration, providing insights that will benefit us in future endeavors.

What's next for Central Campus Convenience

Ultimately, our goal is to transform Central Campus Convenience from a concept into a fully functional and sustainable solution that benefits the entire campus community, promoting accessibility, convenience, and sustainability.
