Inspiration
Our friend Holly had the idea for an app that makes it easier for groups of friends to meet up.
What it does
Just enter you and your friends' locations, and what kind of place you want to meet up at (cafe, restaurant, or park), and see which places are most convenient for you. It also links to Venmo to make it easy to pay your friends!
How we built it
Python, Flask, Google Maps Javascript API, Materialize
Challenges we ran into
Everything from not having the right API key for Google Maps to merge conflicts in Git.

What we learned
Everyone on our team learned a lot! For many of us, it was our first hackathon, so we learned the basics of HTML, CSS, and Git version control. For those of us with front-end experience already, we learned how to manipulate the various Google Maps APIs, asynchronous JavaScript callbacks, and Materialize, a CSS framework.
