Inspiration

I touched on this in the video, but my family has strong ties to Celtic traditions and I wanted to explore those traditions from the perspective of modern sustainability.

What it does

CeltBot keeps you accountable for how you handle your waste, thereby making you more waste-conscious and encouraging environmentally-friendly waste disposal.

How I built it

I did the majority of the work in Figma, although CeltBot himself is based on results I solicited from BlueWillow.

Challenges I ran into

In the midst of all of this, I badly injured my wrist and my progress got slowed down quite a bit, resulting in less time for going back and redoing things.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

In making this project, I was able to learn a lot more about Figma and feel a lot more comfortable with the software, which is nice because I will need it for prototyping in the future.

What I learned

Visual prototyping is about more than just slapping elements on a template; you really have to think about how each frame can come together into a larger, working application.

What's next for CeltBot

If the idea actually picks up traction, I'm considering doing some app development once my wrist heals.
