Inspiration
Inspiration: Celstra was inspired by the idea of turning everyday memories and emotions into a visual journey through the night sky, where each moment becomes a star and meaningful experiences come together as constellations.
What it does
Celstra turns your thoughts, photos, voice notes, and emotions into stars, connects related memories into constellations, and creates a personal visual sky that helps you reflect, revisit, and appreciate your memories.
How we built it:
Celstra is built as a web-based interactive memory journal, combining a visual star-map interface with text, images, voice notes, and mood-based memories. Each memory is stored as a star, while related memories can be connected to form constellations. The interface was designed to make journaling visual, personal, and easy to explore.
Challenges we ran into
Designing an intuitive celestial interface, connecting different types of memories like text, images, and voice, and making the constellation system feel meaningful while keeping the experience simple, smooth, and user-friendly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of turning a simple journaling concept into an interactive emotional universe, where memories become stars and connections become constellations — making personal reflection more visual, engaging, and meaningful. ✨
What we learned
We learned that technology and creativity work best together — building Celstra taught us how to turn an abstract idea about emotions and memories into a simple, interactive, and meaningful user experience. We also learned the importance of user-focused design, iteration, and teamwork.
What's next for Celstra
We plan to make Celstra more personal, immersive, and accessible by adding richer memory experiences, better ways to explore emotional patterns, customizable constellations, and stronger privacy-focused storage. Ultimately, we want Celstra to become a safe digital space for people to reflect, reconnect with their memories, and understand their emotional journey. ✨
