In the current situation, there are some problems with the process optimization even though the fundamental quality of pizza meets the satisfaction. It is integral to improving business operation efficiency, speed, and quality to enhance customer satisfaction.

Current problems and solutions

• Efficiency According to the conformance analysis, the present order system is inefficient and delays the delivery process. There are three ways to order the pizza: shop, phone, and website. In these processes, phone order makes significant delays and order mistakes so that it is not desirable in terms of efficiency. On the other hand, the website is the best choice for the precision of the order and automation. So, the elimination of phone delivery and shift to website orders increase the degree of automation and preciseness. The advertisement campaign for guiding the customers to website orders will be helpful.

• Speed

For the pizza delivery business, speed and agility are among the most significant areas for customer satisfaction because the customers have high expectations for on-time delivery. The current process is not perfectly optimized for shorter throughput time, such as the plant route after baking pizza.

The routing can be initiated after receiving the order and calculating the estimated baking time. Hence, the planned routing should be a parallel process to the pizza preparation flow.

• Quality The quality and fulfillment of pizza are essential for decreasing the cost and achieving higher customer satisfaction. The cold or misordered pizza due to the slow delivery or hearing mistake leads to rework and rejections, which is harmful to all of revenue, cost, productivity, and satisfaction. The solution mentioned on the efficiency and speed also resolves the quality problem. The website order makes less frequency of misorder, and the shortness of process streamline will decrease the probability of slow delivery.

The solution to the current issues will reduce process costs, increase revenue and staff productivity, and, most importantly, increase customer satisfaction.
