I created CeloAI Market Maker (CAMM) to address some of the pressing financial challenges in Kenya, such as limited access to digital financial services, high transaction costs, and the lack of liquidity in local markets. Inspired by the potential of blockchain technology and the stability of the Celo Kenya Shilling (cKES), I wanted to build a platform that empowers individuals and businesses by making trading and transactions more accessible and efficient. My goal was to create a solution that not only promotes financial inclusion but also drives the adoption of cKES in everyday use, helping bridge the gap between traditional finance and the digital economy.
Throughout this journey, I learned a great deal about the complexities of integrating AI with blockchain, especially in developing an Automated Market Maker (AMM) that could deliver real-time trading insights and maintain continuous liquidity. Building this project involved combining skills in front-end and back-end development, smart contracts, AI analytics, and blockchain integration. I used technologies like React, Node.js, and TensorFlow, which allowed me to create a user-friendly interface with AI-driven features that provide valuable market predictions and trading recommendations.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was ensuring the AMM could handle microtransactions efficiently while keeping the platform secure and accessible. Another hurdle was finding the right balance between a sophisticated AI system and an intuitive user experience, as the goal was to make the platform approachable for both seasoned traders and newcomers alike. Despite these challenges, the process taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, problem-solving, and the importance of designing solutions that directly address real-world needs.
I am excited about the potential impact of CAMM in driving financial inclusion and economic growth in Kenya, and I hope it serves as a stepping stone toward a more vibrant and digitally empowered future.
