Inspiration
My sister wanted to do health and had studied the integumentary system. I wanted to do a game jam and had studied game development. A combination of those motivations left us with an edutainment medical game
What it does
Mini games to test the player on different parts of the body It's a visual in-depth simulation of organ systems to give young students a fun representation
How we built it
She gave the ideas and art, and I coded them into reality
Challenges we ran into
Coming up with new ideas (which is why there are only 2 games) Coding bugs were rough- there were many positional errors in the code Our equipment was very slow so coding and running took a lot of extra time
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Making a completely functional game in such little time (MVP) Coming up with an edutainment idea that incorporated arcade and medical aspects
What we learned
Get started early and plan early, too The importance of time management and communication
What's next for Cells!BattleForTheBody(Demo)
Continue working on this project for the full release Adding more systems and mini games Working on final art for all sprites More information to add to the education
