Inspiration

I've felt this problem on my own. I had to go to a consultation at a dental clinic and it took me 10 minutes to complete the forms that were required. Basic personal information had to be written in 3 different forms, each had to be signed and some of them were just some usual COVID 19 and GDPR forms.

What it does

Provides a better user experience for the users. Forms and questionaries shouldn't be completed by hand in 2020. Trees shouldn't be cut just to make documents that will get lost or damaged. Storage space shouldn't be used for paper.

The user flow is really simple. I'm proposing a chat bot that will guide the user to enter his personal details. When he wants to go to a consultation he just have to select a clinic that is nearby. After that, he will be prompted with the documents that would normally have to be completed by hand. He doesn't need to do that. The documents can be completed and sent in seconds, by using the app.

It would be extremely beneficial to both parties. The users are going to get a great service for free, they will get rid of complething forms and signing papers. And the business that will pay for the service will get an easy way to handle all the bireaucracy that is currently happening everywhere. I don't see this kind of structure suited just for the medical sector. It can be used more broadly and it would be amazing to see it present in the public sector.

How I built it

The demo that I've created is extremely minimal and my intention was to present the overall idea. There is a simple React application, with mocked data, localStorage used for storing the informations and pdfMake for creating the document templates.

I can't even think that I would be able to code an application that would impress the judges of this contest. Also, I'm sure that the team behind TypingDNA can implement everything way better than I would have ever imagined.

Challenges I ran into

To be honest, editing the video was the biggest challenge.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

UI of the app.

What I learned

Pitching an idea.

What's next for Cillia

More broadly, I'm thinking that the SaaS that TypingDNA could provide can have a structure like:

A mobile application/ website for users so that they can insert their data and to choose the documents they need to complete.

A database for storing the information.

TypingDNA API for authenticating the users.

A dashboard for medical cabinets so that they can upload the documents that their patients have to complete and to manage the documents completed and signed digitally by the patients.

Maybe an online application for creating PDF documents, where cabinets can have templates and can create fast and easy the forms that they require.

It would be extremely beneficial to both parties. The users are going to get a great service for free, they will get rid of completing forms and signing papers. And the business that will pay for the service will get an easy way to handle all the bureaucracy that is currently happening everywhere. I don't see this kind of structure suited just for the medical sector. It can be used more broadly and it would be amazing to see it present in the public sector.
