Each member of our team works in tech related to the medical field. Our research is focused on improving the general public healthcare by implementing tools such as AI models and XR. Our mission on this hackathon was clear from the very start, to bring a little of our daily work into something fun yet meaningful.

Our game Cell Crush is an adventure game that allows the player to roam through the human body and has the power of chemo medicine to blast and eliminate cancer cells (the enemy). At the same time, the player is also joined by Buddy, a friendly companion that teaches anatomy related contents.

We build our project in Horizon Worlds. We made use of tools such as: ElevenLabs, Generative AI, Sketchfab and CanvaPro.

Only one person in our team has experience with development with Unity, which made our progress not as efficient as we would hope for. Nevertheless, taking into consideration that none of us had experience with Horizon Worlds we still managed to convey our main idea of the game and learn new valuable skills. We are very proud of the concept behind our project and we truly believe it can empower those going through tough treatments such as chemotherapy as well as trigger empathy in those close to the patients.

We would hope to take the project a step farther and make it a fully functional game with different levels, even multiplayers.
