In a world where traditional fundraising can be both restrictive and burdened by intermediaries, our vision was to break free from these limitations. We embarked on building this project driven by a passion for democratizing fundraising on a global scale.
The challenges of raising funds are multifaceted. Geographic restrictions often confine support to a singular location, making it difficult to access a broader audience. Blockchain technology emerges as the answer, tearing down these boundaries and providing a platform that transcends borders.
Moreover, the conventional financial landscape imposes rigid terms and conditions, constraining the flow of funds based on specific countries' regulations. By leveraging the power of blockchain, we've created a system where funds are securely and seamlessly transferred, irrespective of geopolitical intricacies.
We were particularly inspired to eliminate the need for intermediaries who often siphon off substantial commissions in the traditional web 2.0 world. Our platform ensures that the process is transparent, secure, and devoid of exorbitant fees. By embracing the potential of blockchain, we've laid the foundation for a new era in fundraising - one that is accessible, borderless, and financially empowering for all.
What it does
The built project helps raise funds without any intermediators taking any commissions. The project is fully a blockchain project which makes it a totally robust and maintains the integrity of the program.
How we built it
I built it keeping in view that it overcomes all the major problems faced by the industries and fundraiser organizations nowadays. We made use of Solidity for writing smart contracts, React for application designing, Hardhat for monitoring blockchain transactions.
Challenges we ran into
Developing our decentralized crowdfunding DApp presented challenges including smart contract security, cross-border compliance, and educating users about blockchain. Addressing scalability, gas fees, and legal compliance were crucial. Security audits and building an engaged community were key, as was ensuring interoperability and sustainable funding.
