Inspiration

I have always been amused with the idea of automation and incorporating AI into the real world. This project does exactly that.

What it does

My project predicts the amount of Caustic(An industrial chemical solution) required by a oil refinery based on the feed rates of various units of the refinery.

How I built it

I procured the feed rate data from the employees of an oil refinery in excel format. Then, I explored various various ways I could use the data. After the data analysis, I finally made a machine learning model and deployed it on the streamlit platform

Challenges I ran into

One of the major problems I ran into while doing this project was finding the accurate consumption from the tank levels of the chemical. It was quite scattered, and I had to employ various data preprocessing techniques to get to data in order

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud of the fact that I finished the entire project, from procuring the data to making a deployed app just under 48 hours.

What I learned

This project helped my better my skills in data analytics and machine learning, and now I have another project to add to my portfolio

What's next for Caustic Inventory Prediction

This project is deployable in the industry at the moment. I am talking to the employees of the refinery about the next stages.
