What inspired us
We were inspired after seeing a need and deeming ourselves fit to solve this.
What it does
Our app connects people with shared interests, whether they be for movies, musicians, or games. We provide a forum for discussion and replies.
How we built it
We began with brainstorming before making a template of what we wanted our app to look like and do. After dividing responsibilities, we began coding and building upon our initial ideas.
Challenges we ran into
We faced major time constraints and had difficulties with formatting, especially in relation to the media selection.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our app functions as the design intended and we were able to rely on our fellow team members to get it working as it does. We also learned a lot and had fun!
What we learned
We improved upon our pre-existing experience with coding using abstraction. We also learned to extract information from spreadsheets to make a database.
What's next for Konekti?
Future hackathons and more learning opportunities. We have plans to add features to the app, such as individual messaging, a moderation system, and general improvement and aesthetics.
