Inspiration

One of our team members is a beginner fisher, which inspired us to make this game about sustainable fishing!

What it does

This game is a prototype of a mobile app game. Players can customize their avatar, go fishing, and learn fish facts (and plastic waste pollution facts) as they play.

How we built it

We used Figma.

Challenges we ran into

Two of our team members had to work around Figma’s learning curve.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We went from ideating to finishing the prototype in a short amount of time, and we have a cute theme!

What we learned

We improved our Figma skills and learned about user-centered thinking, especially in relation to accessibility and user flow!

What's next for Catch of the Day

We hope to actually develop the game and to spread awareness about marine sustainability!
