Inspiration
With mental health as one of the biggest crises in today's culture, we wanted to venture past simple education apps and provide one that will help a student in and out of the classroom. By focusing on the mental health of students, we hope to make their learning in the classroom that much more effective.
What it does
TranquilU provides access to services such as a Mood calendar, meal search, and meditation, which all aim to help the mental health of students with a busy schedule.
How we built it
We built the web app through Replit so that we could share our progress most efficiently.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into the challenge of not having enough time to implement all of the features. For example, we wanted to create a Planner for students to input their upcoming deadlines to mark as complete, along with profile customization. We also wanted to add a Contact form that would effectively work, yet a lack of time hindered that as well.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the CSS and the different navigation views shown in the app, as those were new features we had to learn through the course of the competition.
What we learned
We learned a lot more about full-stack development with our API calls, our user interface, and form handling.
What's next for TranquilU
We hope to improve and add more to the features of the app, such as improving the challenges.
