Casual-Hangouts

Inspiration

We wanted people to make friends easily without all the hassle to their busy schedule.

What it does

This is a phone app that acts like an activities board. It connects to an API and gathers information that people already posted. It would allow us to create new posts and edit them.

How we built it

We built the mobile app using Kotlin in Android Studio. We also built an API to handle the database calls

Challenges we ran into

Compiling the mobile app. We needed to keep our configurations different based on our different computers.

We are proud on the API that works on the mobile app We are proud of working with Android Studio and learning Kotlin

What we learned

We learned a new programming language Learned how to work with XML files

What's next for Casual-Hangouts

We hope to fully develop this Mobile App for not only Android users but also for everyone.
