Inspiration

Castle Finance's Vault provides an easy way to invest your crypto and receive safe returns. The APY is listed on the site, but for some, flat dollar amounts are easier to reason about.

What it does

Connects with your crypto wallet (several are supported). Based on the amount in the wallet, shows the yield of the Castle Finance Vault after 1 year and 10 years.

How we built it

• UI written in React
• Integration with Solana wallet accomplished using Solana wallet adapter

Challenges we ran into

• Lackluster documentation for Solana, anchor, and the castle finance SDK.
• the castle finance SDK appears to be broken right now, so could not be used in the timeframe we had available.

What we learned

• Solana wallet integration
• Typescript!

What we are proud of

• Getting wallet integration to work and reading balances
• Sleek CSS

What's next for Castle Finance Calculator

Extend beyond Castle Finance to display yields for specific coins and other forms of non-crypto investments.
