Inspiration

As great friends, we constantly listen to music together.

What it does

This app allows you to build a collaborative playlist with your friends using Spotify integration.

How we built it

Using JavaScript, Node.js, Bootstrap, and the Spotify API.

Challenges we ran into

The Spotify API lacked specific examples, we didn't have a lot of experiences using Node.js and also just ran out of time at the end. We were unfamiliar with the technologies we used prior to building this app and really wanted to push ourselves.

What's next for CassetteList

Adding the ability to export playlists to Spotify, right now they are hosted on our website; Voting on songs so that more popular songs in your group are played more often or before the less popular songs; Sound visualization; More detailed data about the song, such as the album artwork or featured artists
