The Story Behind Cassandra

Like many founders, I strive to enter a state of flow to effectively tackle the toughest problems and stay focused on building great products. To achieve this, I often keep my phone on 'Do Not Disturb' mode, which significantly helps minimize distractions and boosts productivity.

However, this approach has an unintended side effect—I frequently miss important meetings. This challenge inspired me to create Cassandra, an intelligent assistant designed to proactively send timely iMessage notifications before meetings. Cassandra provides key information such as transit time, attendee details, and relevant meeting links, ensuring I stay informed without compromising my flow state.

The name Cassandra is inspired by the Greek mythological figure who could foresee events others could not. Similarly, this Cassandra has visibility into my entire calendar, empowered through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). She seamlessly bridges the gap between deep work and necessary interruptions, allowing busy founders and professionals to remain productive and never miss a crucial meeting again.

Cassandra securely uses Auth0 to log in and access the end user's Gmail and Google Calendar. It leverages the Google Maps MCP to calculate transit times and utilizes the Sendblue MCP server to send iMessages that bypass 'Do Not Disturb' settings.
