Inspiration
We wanted to make something for students that promotes financial literacy because a lot of young people do not know how to be financially responsible and smart with their money.
What it does
For now, there is a simple and compound interest calculator.
How we built it
I used HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
Challenges we ran into
I had some changes in terms of teammates at the last minute and my teammate couldn't help because of some personal issues so I did it alone which is totally fine! There were a lot of challenges. I had to get started on javascript and register the user input and I couldn't make the javascript innerHTML display on the actual webpage for the longest time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I managed to actually make a working Simple interest and compound interest calculator even if it's super ugly!
What we learned
Some basic javascript, like how to And a lot more in workshops, such as flexboxes in HTML and CSS and Reactjs (even if I didn't really use them in my project!).
What's next for CashEz
I want to definitely polish up this super barebone website and add more information about financial literacy and different financial terms that can help students get started on how to invest!
