Cash Guardian

Inspiration

We wanted to create something that can help people make better decisions financially by giving them the power to get personalized advice at the touch of a button.

What it does

We give advice for expenses management based on their specific expense sheet. We also provide an interface to track your investments, as well as gain insights into the market based on your relevant holdings.

How we built it

We use Next.js for front end, Flask for back end, and MongoDB for the database.

Challenges we ran into

Setting up the project to work with all three technologies was very taxing, and required many hours of debugging to work smoothly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating authentication from scratch instead of using prebuilt libraries.

What we learned

Learned how to work with Flask, as well as how to split up work between people efficiently.

What's next for Cash Guardian

Deploy and optimize SEO.
