Inspiration

Despite the amount of resources everyone has access to, the lack of financial literacy is prevalent in today’s day and age. Why learn how to invest when you could spend 10 hours playing league of legends? Well, why not combine entertainment with learning? In our web game, you can experience and learn about different financial decisions including: building credit, the large benefits of investment, and even gambling!

What it does

We developed a game, also accessible on mobile, with multiple days, completed with name customization, savable progress, and the chance of failure if you run out of money or your mood hits zero.

How we built it

Throughout our ideation process, we used Gemini and Google’s AI studio to develop and shape our idea, and the possibilities with these tools are genuinely endless.

Challenges we ran into

We did not realize how much of a time crunch we would be under. 150 minutes seemed to be quite a bit of time, especially with the help of AI, but we found ourself having too many ideas we were unable to implement.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite everything, we were incredibly proud of being able to submit a project.

What we learned

None of us really knew how to use AI before this, and we were astonished of the project we were able to make in such a short amount of time. We all learned so much about prompting and the ideation process that we carry with us through our coding journeys.

What's next for Cash Course

We have even more ideas to develop this project, such as savable progress across devices, achievements, and a leaderboard that we could definitely implement if given the time. And it all seems within reach through Google and its many tools. Gaming can be the way to people’s heart’s and minds, and AI is the way to the future.
