Inspiration

We noticed that consulting interview prep is often expensive, inconsistent, and inaccessible. As members of a business fraternity with experience in consulting and a McKinsey New York offer, we wanted to build a platform that gives every MBA candidate the chance to practice like a professional coach was sitting across from them.

What it does

Case Now is an AI-powered consulting interview coach that simulates realistic case interviews, provides structured feedback, and helps users track their improvement over time. It uses voice-based interaction, dynamic scoring, and real consulting frameworks to prepare candidates for firms like McKinsey, BCG, and Bain.

How we built it

We combined business insight with hands-on technical execution. Our team designed a minimal and focused UI/UX, built the core logic using Claude Code, and integrated Echo SDK for authentication and subscription monetization. ElevenLabs powers natural voice feedback that syncs with on-screen text. We structured the app around a modular interview state machine, enabling future expansion to new interview types.

Challenges we ran into

Synchronizing voice output with text animations was complex and required precise timing. Integrating multiple SDKs—Echo, ElevenLabs, and Supabase—without overcomplicating the stack took iteration. We also faced the challenge of balancing technical depth with an intuitive user experience while working across both business and engineering workflows.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a polished, working prototype that blends realism with accessibility. We established a clear revenue model with multiple streams, including direct-to-consumer subscriptions and enterprise partnerships. We’re proud of how our team merged business strategy, design, and engineering into a single cohesive product.

What we learned

We learned how to integrate Echo SDK for monetization, use ElevenLabs for voice generation, and collaborate effectively across disciplines. We gained experience balancing product vision with technical feasibility and discovered the value of iterative design under time pressure.

What's next for Case Now

We plan to expand Case Now into a full subscription platform for MBA programs and consulting clubs. Our next steps include adding analytics dashboards, peer-practice matchmaking, and advanced case libraries. Ultimately, we aim to make professional-level consulting prep accessible to anyone, anywhere.
