Inspiration

Every household has a moment when something goes wrong: a stolen bike, a leaking pipe, a fine for a place you were never at, a letter you do not fully understand. The proof you need is usually already stored somewhere: the policy PDF, the receipt, a phone photo of the serial number, last year's letter from the same office. Under deadline stress it is scattered and forgotten. As a Ukrainian founder living in Vienna, I deal with insurers, landlords and authorities in a system I did not grow up in, and I wanted a helper that knows everything I keep, even what I forgot I kept, and stands on my side.

What it does

Case Keeper is an everyday defender of your interests on UGREEN AI NAS.

  • Incident case: "My bike was stolen last night." You get a case file: the deadline first, what your own policy says (quoted, with page), evidence from documents, photographed letters, photos, voice notes and optional camera events, a consistency check against earlier genuine letters from the same sender, gaps, questions to ask, and a draft reply you send yourself.
  • Protection profile: a first-run inventory of policies, warranties and contracts, with a readiness score per incident type and a list of missing papers.
  • Radar: an on-demand check of deadlines, expiring warranties and notice periods.
  • On-the-spot answer: "Where is my rental contract and what does it say about repairs?", answered with the file and page.

Every fact carries its source. Facts without a source are marked unverified and never used as arguments. It learns: after each case it proposes rules (folders, insurer, tone) that you approve into a plain rules file you can edit.

How we built it

Case Keeper is a Markdown-only orchestration Skill built with the official uliya-skill-kit. It delegates self-contained tasks to the five registered NAS experts (file, document, knowledge, photo and security-monitor agents), passes only real upstream results between steps, and handles every delegation state. All writes (case folder, evidence copies, case file, rules) go through platform approval; originals are copied, never moved. It passes the official static check with zero errors and zero warnings. Case Keeper itself sends, uploads or shares nothing; with the NAS local model selected, processing stays on the device.

Challenges

Keeping a tool that touches the most sensitive household files honest: no legal verdicts, no "this letter is fake", minimal share packs, camera search only with per-case consent, and nothing sent anywhere by the Skill itself.

What's next

Finalist testing on a real NAS with a fictional household dataset, then a companion flow for quick capture on the phone: photos and voice notes taken at the scene become evidence automatically through photo backup.
