To give it a go at my first hackathon!
What it does
Provides a model for which the endpoint can be deployed and run the prediction of car prices, based on dataset input.
How we built it
Using Microsoft Azure ML tool, it was relatively straight forward to generate the prediction model. However, rubbish in rubbish out, so the dataset needs to be transformed and cleaned well before training and deploying the model.
Challenges we ran into
Unfamiliar with the car industry and relevant terminology. Also, new to the Microsoft Azure tools, took a while to be familiarised.
What's next for Carsome Problem 1 & 2
To further refine the dataset, with some additional fields and more standardisation through pre-populated with drop-downs for selection when cars are listed or populated into the inventory. So that the dataset is cleaning and leads to more accurate analysis and prediction.
