Inspiration

Born to an aquatic biologist and dedicated father in the State of Michigan, with a passion for freshwater ecosystem sustainability. Dan Klos leads Carp Patrol and has personally experienced hardships seeing his beloved home become saturated with what is the Asian Carp. Seeing an invasive species that continues to grow and spawn in the lakes of Michigan ignited a thirst for change and passion in using technology as a powerful medium to prevent the carp crises that spawns today.

What it does

Based on water temperature and stream flow rate, Carp Patrol predicts spawn levels to find and prevent Asian carp spawning levels that present a major ecological and economic threat throughout the world.

How we built it

Sweat, tears and blood.

Challenges we ran into

Accomplishments that we're proud of
