We wanted to highlight the rich cultural ties across the Caribbean—and see if we could do it in a single AI prompt.

What it does

It visualizes Caribbean culture as an interactive knowledge graph—connecting countries, music, food, festivals, and people.

How we built it

Generated in one shot with Bolt’s 1-prompt challenge. React + D3 frontend, Node/Express backend, live DBpedia data via SPARQL.

Challenges we ran into

SPARQL quirks, CORS errors, and managing dynamic graph expansion—all tricky to solve with minimal iteration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a beautiful, data-driven app from one prompt. It loads fast, works smoothly, and actually teaches something.

What we learned

With the right framing, even a single prompt can produce something powerful. Structure, caching, and UX make all the difference.

What's next for Caribbean Cultural Knowledge Graph

Better entity resolution, mobile support, and new features for schools and tourists to explore shared Caribbean heritage.
